1982 honda cb450t cafe racer

Custom build finished late last year, was going to keep it a while, but circumstances changed. Lots of hand made parts and detail work. Clear title , signed over but not dated by original owner. Triumph t-100 rear triangle, hand made seat pan, rear sets, swingarm plates, battery box. CL wheels, new bearings and stainless spokes. Continental tire rear, Duro front., gel type battery. Shaved oil cooler, Spade appliques on engine covers, Heavily modified Yamaha tank, lined with Red Cote sealer {I've found it to be the most reliable}. Wired from scratch with keyless ignition- master on/off, with a push pull ignition switch { I HATE keys!] The motor is basically stock, the donor bike was a fairly low mile {somewhere around 20,000} idled "barn find". Very low miles since build- basically just enough to run it in and make sure everything is working. No instrumentation, but has the required turn signals . Taillight is a vintage glass Deitz shell pattern lens with a handmade housing, recessed into the bum stop. The bike is running straight pipes with a back pressure device of my own invention. It's really not too loud, but it's got a great snarl as rpm's come up. The bike is painted with base coat clear coat urethane, including the frame. To present the bike honestly, I would tell a prospective buyer that the bike can be a bit temperamental especially at cold start up { the straight pipes contribute to this} The Keihin carbs are a bit idiosyncratic and it took along time to get them set up properly. A performance upgrade down the road might be a good idea. The bike is running great at this writing, I spent 3 days cleaning detailing and tuning; it's ready to go.
